Member of an excellent networking program that took me and 14 other participants from academia, journalism, the military, and think tanks on research and study trips to Washington DC, Montana, Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto over a period of three-plus years. I met the governor of Tokyo, ruling and opposition party politicians in Japan, staff members at the Republic of Korea Embassy in Washington, and many other interesting people as well.

I compiled briefing books on several prominent officials who served in the administrations of Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.
