My current research is focused on the study of ultra high energy cosmic rays; in particular, the study of the physical processes that accelerate particles up to very high energies in active galactic nuclei. My work is based on the development of theoretical models that can explain the observations at different wavelengths. The main topic of my research in Mexico is the study of jets from massive protostars. I focus my research on the production of non-thermal process such as particle acceleration and gamma-ray emission. In addition, I study non-thermal processes in relativistic jets that emanate from gamma-ray bursts, active galactic nuclei, and microquasars.
