Ms. Damstrom is an extremely thoughtful, diligent and highly creative person. I had an opportunity to work with her during the time her company was a client of mine and she was terrific. The project was quite substantial and she was not daunted by everything she was required to do (and then some). I have also spent time with Ms. Damstrom socially and she has a lovely variety of interests and hobbies, which brings a greater palette of choices/viewpoints/advices to clients. Judith Sullivan

      • Developed the trial Research Paper Course Curriculum. I was the first teacher to teach and develop the course from the ground up. The course was a success at the end of the year and the Board of Education made the decision to keep it as a course. • Designed and developed the course to begin anew every quarter. Therefore, each student in the entire school would have the opportunity to take the course once year in order to master the research writing by the end of their three-year middle school career and be better prepared for High School.• At the end of each semester the students’ final test grade was based on their final Research project paper. • Taught process writing. I taught and trained students in all phases of the writing process, which included prewriting, drafting, revising, editing and publishing. Students focused on form, target audience, purpose, grammar and structure equally. • Taught the Research process. I taught students how to choose a challenging and interesting topic, develop a thesis statement, how to conduct research on scholarly journals to help shape both the understanding and interpretation of the topic and thesis. • Instructed students how to minimize the risk of plagiarizing.• Encouraged students to remain critical of sources and how to use sources that disagree with their thesis to their advantage.• Taught the Research paper with a focus on Modern Language Association format (MLA).
