  Project Overview:The aim of the project “New Generation of Youth Leaders to Address Hate Speech” is to promote the development of model plans for addressing hate speech issues in Bitola high schools.The main objectives are:To train student leaders and school officials in hate speech prevention and managementTo promote the development of school methods for management of hate speechTo increase awareness and reporting of hate speech incidents in the schoolsThe project will be implemented over a six-month period beginning in June 2017, and will be completed in time to demonstrate impact during the 2017-2018 school years. Target groups are school officials who are typically involved when offensive speech becomes a serious problem (school psychologists and pedagogues) and the youth leaders who hold official roles within the schools (youth council and other official youth groups and student ombudsmen) in seven Bitola high schools.Activities: The process will involve a day of expert training for school officials (two per school), four days of intensive training for school youth leaders (four per school), and a final planning meeting in which all participants will collaborate to review each school approach to addressing hate speech, following a template developed by experts in hate speech prevention and management.   From December to June 2017 the Association for Civil Activism FORUM 16 – Bitola will implement the project “Who If Not You(th) Academy”.The objectives of the project are:To provide young people from different communities and academic programs with a structured opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and skills in the areas of active citizenship and leadership.To build a network of young people from throughout the region who will promote youth activism and participation in their own communities.To encourage young people to initiate service project activities in their home communities.From 9-13 January 2017 will be organized the Academy that will consist of workshops about Team Building, Presentation Skills, Leadership, Social Entrepreneurship, Community Arts and Youth Activism. Target group for Who If Not You(th) Academy are young people age 16-20 from 5 cities and villages around: Bitola, Ohrid, Struga, Prilep and Krusevo. Show less

  Had a chance to organize SAMS - stay a while make a smile project. SAMS was a project that included community service by foreign students in order to help the growth of our community in the near future. In 2018 our goal was to give children a unique experience by learning the English language in entertaining ways guided by our volunteers. We organized three weeks of English lessons for the kids form the SOS villages in Skopje. It was my first experience of leading, motivating, and mentoring a team of foreign students as well as facing the challenges of preparing a program for kids under the age of fifteen. Show less
