Tasked with building and managing a high-performing CMBS structuring and execution team. Collaborating with the Group's loan origination, due diligence, capital structure, trading and servicing teams, we executed EUR17 billion of CMBS, of which EUR13 billion comprised principal transactions (loans originated by the Group mostly in the UK and Germany). Operated in a 'combination role', as deal leader for individual transactions, as well as team manager of the other deal leaders in my team. Specific tasks included: engaging with rating agencies and legal counsel, production of marketing materials, attending roadshows, delivery of all transaction documentation, negotiating with rating agencies, transaction third parties, investors, insurance providers, and presentations/pitches to prospective clients. A significant achievement was securing and retaining a large Dutch CMBS client for two 'tap' transactions with a profitable financial structure in a highly competitive market.
