  My first role in EOPS/CARE program is being apart of the inaugural Peer Navigator Pilot Program. I was selected from a pool of 31 applicants and became one of five hired Peer Navigators. I managed a cohort of 147 newly admitted EOPS/CARE students who are first-generation, low-income, and from historically underrepresented backgrounds like being a single-parent, veterans, formerly incarcerated, or previously enrolled in remedial classes. • Successfully assisted 94% of the cohort to complete at least 2 counseling appointments to maintain course enrollment and program completion• Proposed and implemented all Peer Navigator-led activities to increase student engagement and familiarity with the program counselors and staff members• Presented at the California Community Colleges EOPS Association 52nd Annual Conference to guide other EOPS programs across the state to adapt a Student-Authored Welcome Day for students who lost their college experiences during COVID-19 quarantine
