  As Mentoring Project Coordinator at Paiwand, I advocated for unaccompanied minors in order to defend and safeguard their rights in the UK. My role involved both field work and administrative tasks, forging strong links with partnerships such as schools in order to receive client referrals, recruiting and managing volunteers as well as monitoring and evaluating the mentoring project. My role ranged from leading youth workshops, mentoring unaccompanied minors and refugees, budgeting and conducting risk assessments for community engagement activities to writing and editing grant applications and donor reports.

  During this internship, I assisted in the organisation and running of the many AOS events and attended meetings with AOS partners, Corporate Members and Diplomats.The role required the monitoring of current affairs of relevance to the charity and its programmes in order to conduct relevant and in-depth interviews with diplomats and guest speakers which were video recorded for archiving. This research, combined with primary research collected in Oman, contributed to a report I produced "The Role of Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy in Contemporary Oman."
