Junior Front-End Developer in a small in-house team with responsibility for:- Coding the front-end and back-end bug fixes and new features of the Royal Holloway main website, intranets and .Net applications. - Deploying code to test and live environments using Visual Studio Team Services and Git. Working closely within a team using backpac files and Usync Snapshots to ensure local database changes are not overwriting other developers code.- Maintaining and updating two CMS, Umbraco and Contensis.- Working closely with the Digital Comms and Internal Comms teams to maintain an efficient, safe and accessible resolution to all business requirements and issues.- Working through customer issues on the Service Desk and maintaining a low number of tickets in the queue and quick SLA time.- Providing access to new staff members via Active Directory and creating training materials on Moodle.- Attending industry conferences and courses and reporting new trends to management.- Towards the end of my time at Royal Holloway, I was selected by senior management, to become a member of the Digital Futures Advisory Board, helping the College to see and understand the future of the digital world that we live in and how it can benefit the University in the years to come. Unfortunately, this came at a time when I was soon to leave the College, however, I felt that it was an honour to have been selected for this.
