Kelsi Adams
When I started working for Gleeson Group fresh from a career in IT, I had no industry knowledge of Quarrying but my main role was to enhance the ability of the leadership team by leveraging technology and increase the capabilites of the Maintenance deptartment by introducing and administrating MEX. Amy was incredibly helpful, knowlegable, trusting and pragmatic. Amy could have made it difficult for me to get up to speed and deliberately withheld knowledge from me but I found her attitude and nature to be quite refereshing. Amy is a woman of action, she has come from working on the ground so not only is she is not afraid of getting dirty but she also has the experience of doing the jobs that she is responsible for maintaining and improving the health & safety of. Amy had an excellent repport with the operators and the outcome of that meant they trusted her opinions and listened to her ideas. When Amy had ideas on improvement, she often went outside and physically put them into place, a lot of health & safety representatives of all levels will tell you what they want or what is unacceptable but don't implement or help you to implement their solutions or discuss what might be reasonable given what outcomes still need to be achieved, this is absolutely not the case with Amy. I would be more than happy to work with Amy again and her abilities will only grow stronger with suoportive leadership and as she progresses through her career.
