5 Hour a week assistantship Tutoring students from any undergraduate class. As a GA I email the professors concerning the students concerns with their own work, what we went over, what their questions were that I could not answer, and what the professor thinks I should focus on if that student were to come again. I have also worked in the classroom with larger lectures. The students were broken into groups and given the identity of a historical figure. These students played the 'game' and argued for their position based off the identity of their character. My role was to help facilitate conversations based in the game throughout the students. Professors have called upon my hours to help sub their classes and proctor exams. The time in the classroom allows me to fell comfortable engaging with a group in a setting I hope to become familiar with as a professor. I am also helping with organizing an event on November 3rd at the Chester County Historical Society based off their exhibit, "Many Nations/Chester County." The forum will discuss the topic of 3 views of Immigration in America. Working on gaining diversely viewed sponsorships and interested groups of people for the forum. This semester, Spring 2018, I helped run registration and collate for the Revolutionary Era Consortium in Philadelphia, PA at the Penn's Landing Hilton. Show less
