The Florida State University (FSU) Autism Institute, under the direction of Dr. Amy Wetherby, designed and built Autism Navigator, and its companion Baby Navigator. We have integrated the most current research into a highly interactive web platform with extensive video footage to illustrate effective evidence-based practice. The video clips come from the unparalleled library of video footage from federally funded research projects at the FSU Autism Institute. Autism Navigator, LLC deploys Autism Navigator webinars, courses, and online tools. Autism Navigator, LLC is a women-owned small business established in the State of Florida on July 23, 2013 as a limited liability company. The company’s founding members are Dr. Amy Wetherby (Managing Member) and Dr. Juliann Woods (Member), who are both internationally recognized for their research in autism. The FSU Autism Institute collaborates closely with Autism Navigator LLC in continued research, development, and deployment. Early diagnosis and intervention have lifetime consequences for children with autism and their families. By interfacing professional courses for primary care physicians, early interventionists, other healthcare providers, and early childhood educators with information and support for families and communities using technology-supported learning, Autism Navigator, and its companion Baby Navigator, can create an integrated, effective, cost- efficient, community-viable virtual system from early detection to service delivery for young children with ASD and their families.
