The collection involved positive messages, feel-good silhouettes inspired by the 1970s, and a colourful palette. Skills: - Crafted detailed insights through comprehensive research. Research included concept inspiration, fashion & social trends, brand competitors, COVID-19 impact socially and environmentally, and much more. - Created clear and stylish mood and trend boards to highlight important research outcomes and inspiration. - Documented and analysed trends, events, project highlights and changes in sketchbook. - Analysis into sustainable fabrics and trims to be applied to original garment design. - Experimented with drawing, mark making, photography, and collage to be applied to original print design. - Produced a detailed business plan. Including technical drawings, colourways, trims, fabrics, other garment details, costing and garment measurements. - Sourced, planned and communicated with an external manufacture. - Crafted brand packaging, garment labels, stickers and print related products through CAD software. - Curated and launched a working website. - Created an on-brand portfolio, including original photographs in collaboration with external photographer. - Demonstrated to organised and a multitasker.   Achieved: First Class Honours A*(80%) Collection A** (92%) Portfolio B (68%) Thesis Created a menswear collection inspired by the looks of construction and road workers. The collection focused on convince and practicality. Seventeen original prints were developed and printed in line with the development and construction of a garment collection which consists of four final looks. Skills: - Created a contemporary concept inspiring the collection. - Constructing & updating mood, colour and concept boards using primary and secondary imagery. - Print collection crafted with a variety of hand process, including collage, drawing and mark making all scanned into CAD software. - Using CAD software to adapt and create original repetitive and placement prints. - Conducting thorough designer, trend, and social research in relation to project. - Sourced an assortment of fabrics for print experimentation and analysis. - Experimentation of other textile techniques such as patchwork, digital embroidery and more. - Produced 30-40 prints from concept for consolidation. - Formed final printing files through CAD software for digital and dye-sublimation printing. - Developed garments from sketch to production. Pattern cutting, toiling, print placement and final garment construction. - Created detailed and comprehensive technical drawings, completed on Adobe Illustrator, with and without final prints applied. - Daily project analysis carried out in sketchbook. - Planned and assembled a graphic portfolio in line with the project mood. - Extremely organised, and adaptable to work efficiently, especially during COVID-19 pandemic.
