I had the great pleasure of connecting with Amy when I was recently mentoring a young children’s book publisher. My mentee was new to publishing and navigating the complexities of setting up her company and releasing one of their first books. I turned to Amy to provide us with some advice about product launch strategy, and she did not disappoint. In the space of about 40 minutes, she was able to articulate a host of intelligent—and exciting—possibilities for outreach, engagement, and promotion. I watched happily as my mentee beamed during our Zoom call, furiously writing down notes and thanking Amy for providing so many wonderful insights. Experienced as I am in this space, I too came away from our call with new perspectives on how to launch a book successfully. Amy is also a delight to speak with—articulate, friendly, with a wonderful sense of humor. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking expert advice on marketing their books.

Amy has the rare ability to see through traditional marketing and publicity "walls" for publishers and has a passion for literacy and engagement at all reading levels. I know very few people who have her experience and vision and she also happens to be a pleasure to work with, I highly recommend her services for any publisher who needs to create or augment their marketing and publicity initiatives.

Working closely with Amy Burton Storey has been one of the best experiences of my publishing life. I was very much in need of a strong professional in Sales and Marketing, and a professional friend in New York suggested I meet Amy. She has been at Harper as head of Children’s Publicity for several years before deciding that she wanted to return home to the South. I wanted someone with strong publishing, and more importantly children’s publishing, experience. Amy brought that and more. After leaving New York, she worked for public relations firms for several years and amassed an impressive array of experiences that would prove immensely helpful to us, among them brand management and crafting strong strategies, all of which we employed in our publishing initiatives. She is also passionate about children’s publishing and had followed it in the intervening years since leaving Harper. She was eager to jump back into the publishing world and started part-time evaluating and managing our inhouse staff and procedures and publicity program. Over the years, she was able to increase her time with us and became thoroughly entrenched in our company. No major decision was made without conferring with her, and her assessment of how to respond or maximize the decision taken was always smart and actionable. I have marveled at her work ethic, her good humor, and her truly clear strategic thinking. I have teased her that she is in my head because she is so capable of drafting a letter that I feel I may have written myself, but better! Her sophistication helped to quickly season our young and talented publicity and marketing staff which was a bonus for them and for Peachtree. I could not endorse a publicity and marketing professional, especially one in publishing, more strongly than I do Amy Burton Storey.
