      As the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs I oversee the Student Government Association, help coordinate school wide events, and overseeing the Student Service Learning Project. Collaboration with departments to ensure student needs are being met occurs in weekly meetings. With the role as Assistant Dean I coach staff on behavior management with students, help identify students needs in and out of the classroom, as well as mentor staff on executing the new format for the schools Service Learning Program. Students are coached on how best to make decisions in their social life on campus and how these decisions in conjunction to academic decisions can help them with their long-term goals. This is done in conjunction with the School College Counseling Office.While teaching Social Studies I use a holistic approach to teaching to ensure that my students are able to process the topics of discussion.
