Using the Restorative Practices model (highly trained in) I taught students apathy techniques to prevent future poor choices with support and daily check-ins. Worked side by side with the principal, staff, teachers, parents, and the community in developing plans to support students, attendance, behavior, and academics. Guided students to effectively respond to wrongdoing (poor choices) done by students in a nonpunitive way by bringing together students and others harmed in a safe and respectful space. Promoting dialogue, accountability, and a stronger sense of community between parents, staff, students, and the community. Provided extra support and guidance to teachers for; referrals, class disruption, attendance, and grades by recognizing triggers and creating solutions. Received extensive training in the Restorative Practices model by Resolve Center for Dispute Resolution and Restorative Justice. Due to the accomplishments of my work, the school had a reduction in referrals. Also, I received a personal invitation from Cara Walsh, Director of Restorative Justice Resolve, to speak on a Restorative Justice Facilitator panel in a training through Resolve due to my extensive knowledge, accomplishments, and experiences. I taught a math supplement and intervention program to k-3rd grade, ran reports, set goals, and reviewed growth that was used in progress monitoring. I ran a Photography Club, Morning Greeters Club, and a Piece Keepers Club for students in grades 4-6th. Show less
