As Treasurer for SIETAR USA, Amy's focus is on high standards and integrity for all aspects that have a financial component. This includes providing general supervision and control of the accounts of the organization, assuring that custody of all funds, property and securities are secure, monthly monitoring and reporting of income and expenditures, and collaborating with other board members to develop and then present the annual organization and conference budgets for board approval. As a member of the SIETAR USA Executive Committee, Amy contributes to the planning of organizational strategies, fiscal policy and procedures, annual board retreats, and review of proposed large expenditures. Amy also works closely with the annual conference team on venue and contract negotiations, banquet orders, and relationship management with SIETAR USA partners, sponsors, exhibitors and advertisers.

Participated in the Fellows Program at the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication (SIIC), Reed College - Portland, Oregon. The fellowship program combined learning with practice as a group of 22 diverse individuals came together to commit to a personal intercultural practice, built an effective multicultural team, and provided behind-the-scenes support for participants, staff and faculty. While a fellow, I completed a total of 70 hours of professional development in Training Design for Intercultural Learning, Personal Leadership: Effective Intercultural Teamwork, and Understanding and Applying the Still Radical Insights of Edward T. Hall.
