  My position at the Comparative History of Ideas Program was a combination of administrative and academic responsibilities. As the program administrator, I was in charge of HR processes and all staff-related decisions; I supervised all full-time, part-time, and hourly staff employees; I oversaw departmental budgets; I created and implemented marketing, outreach, and fundraising plans; and I wrote grant proposals and departmental assessment reports. As part of the instructional faculty, I taught a variety of courses, including the required junior colloquium; I designed and taught study abroad programs in India, Cuba, and the Netherlands; I supervised undergraduate theses, independent studies, and student-run courses; and I worked with a team to make decisions about annual course offerings and updates to the curriculum.
