I worked within the NHS trust in a busy maternity ward as an Administrator. This role was very fast paced and I needed to work with the highest standards of confidentiality as I was dealing with patient records throughout each working day. I added women onto the system when they arrived and completed discharge papers for medical records and ensured they were filed in the correct way according to NHS procedures. I was first port of call for families using the service as well as families who were visiting women in our care. I directed patients and families to the correct place and made safety checks at the main door and followed all procedures to ensure only the correct people were allowed onto the ward during strict visiting hours. I liaised with midwives and consultants regarding patients where appropriate. I was professional and productive at all times.

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
-
févr. 2009 - juil. 2011
During my time at Bevington Primary School I worked side by side with a six year old child who had Special Educational Needs. For this role I was compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable as well as punctual and enthusiastic at all times.I attended all classes with the child who was integrated with the other children and helped her to learn to the best of her ability. I took her out for one to one learning using planned lessons i had planned previously with her class teacher and with the SEN coordinator for the school. I taught her literacy, numeracy, science and all other subjects taught in mainstream primary school. I took her to see other professionals within the school, for example the speech therapist, and took her out once a week to a soft play center. I worked closely with her teacher and built up a strong relationship with her parents which played a key role in her development, all whilst remaining strictly professional at all times. I also supervised the children during play and lunchtimes in the playground and received a first aid certificate for this. I was also on hand to teach her whole class when her teacher was on leave. I found my time at Bevington Primary very rewarding and have used the valuable skills I have gained from this role in everyday life.
