    • DESIGNER FOR INDUSTRY
      • Oct 2020 - Feb 2021

this college client brief was aimed to Investigate the concept of ‘Place’ and respond with an immense body of drawing, visual, market and trend research with a final outcome producing fashion collections. Within this brief, I explored the current pandemic to create slogans for knitwear. My collection captured a moment in time and places in reaction to current social justice issues. I Found ways to develop ideas of protest, slogans and need to raise awareness of some young people’s current ‘mood’ by involving members of the public through online participatory. My approach to research was innovative, inclusive and had the beginnings of socially motivated fine art textile outputs with a fashion leaning collection. My work demonstrated an engagement with intellectual issues, concepts and philosophies. My collection included hand and machine Fair isle knitted jumpers and vest tops. These were made with a wide variety of viscose yarns using a standard knit machine

    • LIVE CLIENT BRIEF
      • Mar 2020 - Jun 2020

As part of this live brief, I was asked to repurpose old festival vinyl materials into a collection of decorations that would be usable items. I had to present concept ideas to be used at the Craft Festival in June 2020. I pitched my idea to the team which was a fringed archway for the entrance of the festival. I vat-dyed the vinyl and fabric foiled with silver to give texture hand embellished beads and sequins onto the vinyl fringing. This archway was an important part of the craft festival and provided a pleasant backdrop for photos. This proposal was pitched against thirty other contestants, Bovey Tracey selected and finalised my concept, but the craft festival was cancelled due to Covid-19
