SEO and Content Manager
-
Jul 2022 - Present
My current focus is crafting a scalable cross-functional process that utilizes resources to optimize and improve web pages across the site. This process includes intensive strategic review and leverages support from data scientists, developers, designers, writers, editors, publishers, and quality control. The program initiative is to increase user satisfaction and experience and improve keyword and page ranking in the SERPs. When I'm not building the process to scale page improvement, I implement strategic development on a page-by-page basis. This ranges broadly from reviewing data, writing, editing, and publishing, to creative and innovative development that produces a world-class on-page experience. Show less

Back Country Seasonal Caretaker
-
Oct 2018 - May 2019
I was a seasonal Winter Caretaker for a backcountry outfitter in the Boise National Forest near the Frank Church Wilderness. The outfitter camp was 50 miles snowmobile access only from the nearest town. In this role, I managed and kept the lodge and grounds, and managed and a few small cabins for rent for daring adventurers and ice fishers. I took weather readings to post to NOAA, carefully managed food inventory and the water source, learned how to operate equipment, and spent a lot of time shoveling snow. I was the last emergency outpost for life-flight and Sheriff communications. When not actively working, I enjoyed the breadth and beauty of snowshoeing and skiing in the greatoutdoors, silently watched and appreciated wildlife, and learned much about myself from the perspective of true solitude and perseverance. While this was one of the hardest jobs I've ever had, it was also one of the most rewarding life experiences. Show less

General and Program Manager
-
Jul 2012 - Jul 2014
I began as the Program Manager and transitioned into the role of General Manager in my second year of working for The Pulse, the student-run and on-campus radio station. In this position, I developed programming and outreach for the student body. My main focus was culturing and facilitating a learning environment where students felt heard, supported, and encouraged. I increased student volunteers from 12 to 35, and live production hours from 20 to 50+ per week. I was responsible for setting the vision, holding meetings, and training, communicating and supporting all student volunteers. I wrote and maintained all staff, volunteer, and media schedules, and evaluated all student and intern work. I organized and hosted events on campus. Show less
