  As Assistant Director of Alumni, I am responsible for the planning and implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage young alumni in strengthening programs and provide tangible benefits to young alumni and current students. Serving as an ambassador, the assistant Director of Alumni is charged with securing commitments from alumni to provide professional expertise and volunteer service; collaborating with colleagues in the administrative offices (including, but not limited to Admissions, Development, Public Affairs and Student Affairs) and the schools to create and maintain pathways for alumni participation that advance the goals of the Institute; partnering with Development colleagues to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward alumni giving. The assistant Director of Alumni reports to the Director of Alumni and the Director of Advancement and is a member of the Advancement team. The alumni community currently numbers over 30,000 graduates. All alumni who graduated from Wayland Baptist University are counted as members of its Alumni Association. The Young Alumni Association members include all alumni who graduated from Wayland Baptist University who are thirty-five and younger.
