I am VP for Memberships at Learning Courage and a strategic partner in developing the vision for Learning Courage. Learning Courage is survivor-led membership organization that helps schools and school leaders reduce and effectively address sexual misconduct and assault in their schools through compassion, integrity and clarity. This is a new business founded by survivor and businessperson, Jamie Forbes, intended to provide resources, best practices, and guidance to school leaders when they are confronted with sexual abuse and misconduct in their schools. We help schools have a survivor-centric, trauma-informed and resiliency-based approach to addressing the complex issues of sexual misconduct and abuse. We provide policy scans, action plans, multi-year training programs, and more. Please see our website: https://learningcourage.org/ Show less

Along with a team of dedicated parents, educators, and business people, I was a part of founding The Tremont School. The Tremont School opened its doors in September of 2011. It has been an incredible experience being a part of starting such an important school. Tremont is an independent school for grades 5-12 serving an intentionally diverse student body focusing equally on academic and social/emotional learning. Experiential learning, collaborative problem solving, student directed learning and social emotional learning are all prioritized at The Tremont School. Show less

The Sage School is an independent school prek-8 grade serving the needs of academically gifted students. There is a deep need to support students who need more challenge academically and socially, specifically in Massachusetts since there is no mandate to support gifted students. I was able to hold many roles from Director of Admission to Interim Head of School. It was wonderful to be a part of helping Sage establish itself as a leader in gifted education.
