I have been in the assistant manger position for over 3 years in that time I have worked in 3 different sites. I transferred to the Skydome Harvester which was my first appointment as assistant manager as this was a fairly quiet site I was able to learn very quickly what was required of me and more, within 6 weeks I was holding the business for 2 weeks in the absence of a general manager and kitchen manager I overcome a lot of difficulties during that time. I was then head hunted to help open a brand new Harvester in Warwick with my general manager, I was in-charge of placing base stocks, recruiting and training new team, we were an extremely busy site taking 35k a week so working under pressure is not a problem. I then relocated back to Rugby so transferred to the Rugby Harvester when I rejoined the business was in decline taking only 23k a week I worked closely with the management team to improve those and now we are seeing figures in the region 35k with increasing net promoter scores. My responsibilities include leading around 10 staff in a busy restaurant ensuring a smooth running shift. Dealing with any problems that occur on the way such as complaints about food or staff, I would deal with these in a professional and empathic way to ensure the guest left happy. I also have to cash handle given the responsibility to cash up tills and re float. I am a key holder to my business so it can open and close the business.
