I currently work in a 30-bed adult critical care unit with a diverse patient population including cardio-thoracic and vascular surgieries, neurologic, renal, cardiac and general medical-surgical patients. I care for patients needing hemodynamic monitoring, continuous renal replacement therapy, intra-aortic balloon pump, impella, or recovery from open heart surgery. When the covid-19 isolation unit was established, I was one of the charge nurses and assisted with ever-changing policies.
