I was a member of both ORBA's audit and cloud services department. As a senior auditor, I was involved in the complete audit life-cycle which entails taking a leadership role in strategic planning, team development, reporting, evaluations, risk mitigation, and business development. With each audit that I was tasked with, I acted as a core member of the team which involved constantly monitoring the resources, time, and budget of each particular engagement. In my role, I simultaneously managed multiple engagements and supervised lower level staff. I maintained a strong client focus by being responsive to client's requests and developing/maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel. Outside of audit engagements, I worked on other assurance services and review/preparation of tax/information returns. I was engaged with all types of business entities (including the not-for-profit sector) and industries. I was an active member of ORBA's manufacturing niche group with duties that included writing topical blogs and newsletters, discussing current client needs, and business development/networking. ORBA's cloud services department provides cloud-based, outsourced accounting services. As a manager for two separate client accounts, I oversaw all bookkeeping functions, prepared month-end reconciliations and financial statements, updated and maintained complex financial models used for budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management, updated and coordinated processes and procedures for the entire accounting function, provided meaningful analytics and reports for management to analyze operations and trends, managed all year-end tasks and completed year-end close, and coordinated with outside tax preparers and other related third parties. Sometimes these questions could be answered using my past experience but some required significant research. I enjoyed being treated as a partner in my clients' business and I took pride in being able to provide them with the best information available. Show less

I maintained several asset accounts that were used to track prepaid expenses. I prepared a monthly use tax report for the office manager.
