PR and Events Work Experience
-
Apr 2011 - Apr 2011
• Participated in fundraising events, such as the Midnight Beach Walk and helped to collect donations using the Hospice's van • Involved with the organisation and promotion of a 'pop-up' charity shop, Pat's Boutique. The event ran for three days, selling fashionable clothes in my Stepmother's memory. The shop raised £3,500 and had to close a day early, after everything was sold • One week of unpaid work experience at Weston Hospicecare, working across PR, marketing and events. My main role was to write press releases, which also involved interviewing and editing. I succeeded in getting a major story published, which led to the Hospice offering me paid freelance work Show less
