David M. DeFoor

I first met Amy when she was an undergraduate at NCSU, a student employee working in my department. I was delighted when she took a full-time position with us after she graduated. I was immediately drawn to Amy's friendly manner and engaging personality. She was a person with whom it was hard not to be friends. More than just likable, though, Amy has long impressed me with her intellect, curiosity, and organizational skills. Her responsibilities at NCSU Libraries demanded excellent detail orientation and supervisory skills as she managed her student employees. Amy's reference experience teaching students how to do research helped make her a stronger scholar and librarian.
