BioStream Technologies, LLC is working with The Center for Autism Research (CAR) at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to develop a commercial-quality 3D video game to augment social skill training for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The game uses a proprietary combination of software and hardware and the company is supported by The National Science Foundation. BioStream’s game leverages behavioral and educational principles used in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to shape behavior and drive positive outcomes in the real world. The game adapts to each individual child’s performance to maximize learning and optimize engagement over time. BioStream plans to continue building, testing and refining the game with the goal of creating an engaging tool that can augment the services children currently receive from their therapists and educators.
