Amy is one of the hardest working colleagues with whom I have had the pleasure of working so far in my career. She takes the time to genuinely understand the subject matter of whatever project on which she is working and empowers herself and those around her to make meaningful progress for project outcomes. Amy has demonstrated a great balance of big picture thinking and the ability to follow projects through to completion, even under very challenging circumstances. She is excellent with people regardless of age, seniority or culture. On top of this, her sense of fun and humour make her a well-rounded individual and professional.

Amy and I worked on separate but similar projects from across the pond. Amy had been leading GWI’s Global Water Summit while I lead the American Water Summit. As she had been in her role before me, she was always ready to give advice, guidance, and reassurance as conference production can be quite stressful. Regardless, Amy always kept a cool head and brought a sense of calm even in urgent and trying times. She is skilled in communication, project management, and brings a solid understanding of the global water market. She makes for a great mentor, team player, and project lead.

Led development and delivery of a portfolio of international water industry conferences and virtual events programmes including the Global Water Summit and the American Water Summit. Between July 2020 and August 2021 I oversaw and managed the production of 15 virtual events for the launch of the GWI Networks virtual events online platform. Collaborating closely with an interdepartmental team, this was a significant process of strategic change management for the business with the essential transition from face-to-face events to virtual engagement which was accelerated by the pandemic. I handled a diverse array of subject materials to create live online events and series with pre & post-event snackable video content for social media and provided support and contributions to white paper research outputs. These events have brought together 127 expert speakers to engage an audience of +4000 international attendees, demonstrating the success of this new and adaptive approach. Events produced include: - Digital Futures Symposium Series- Transforming Water in the Middle East Series- Desalination Technology Idol Competition- North Americas Policy & Projects Desalination& Reuse Round Tables Networking session- Blue-Green Infrastructure: What works and why it’s the Future- Upcoming Project Opportunities in Latin America - Abu Dhabi's Desalination FutureDuring and prior to the pandemic, my other achievements in this role included:- Initiating and coordinating the establishment of the Corporate Water Sustainability Group (January 2021). - Planning and management of the Global Water Summit (2017-2019) and American Water Summit 2019 event programme.
