Bio
Christine Sanders, CPA, CSOE
Mrs. Cheatham has taught two of my children. My daughter has a genuine love of school that I attribute to Mrs. Cheatham's outstanding work. She is creative and skilled at teaching, but the thing that sets her apart is her rapport with children and parents. It's what makes the children want to learn! She builds their self-esteem and helps them see their capacity to learn. And she makes it fun!

While in Coppell ISD, I have served as Kindergarten Team Leader for two years, and have co-written several grants for literacy, math and science advancement. I have taught in both self-contained and departmentalized classrooms, and am SMARTBoard and technology proficient. I have had Thinking Maps training, and am ESL/ELL trained and certified. I use Problem/Project Based Learning (PBL) strategies, Guided Reading, as well as Investigations math curriculum in my classroom. I continue to serve on various school and district wide committees, and have mentored two student teachers from the University of North Texas and several high school students in the Ready, Set Teach program. I also had the opportunity of attending the 2010 National Title 1 Conference in Washington, D.C. along with my principal and assistant principal.
