Serving as a Division Zone FISO, I am responsible for implementing the company's organizational IS agenda, championing improvements to reduce IS risks to patients and business operations in the facilities, and serve as a conduit between the division and the facilities. The FISO also provides leadership, drives ongoing compliance by the facilities with IS policies and standards, HIPAA Security activities, Facility IS Action Plans, division IS program activities, enterprise IS program, and facility-specific needs.These facilities include HCA hospitals, company-managed physician offices, Consolidated Service Centers (CSCs), Ambulatory Surgery Division (ASD) centers and certain other facilities in the division. These activities are part of the enterprise (company-wide) and division-specific IS programs and operations.

Serving as the Security Outreach Coordinator for the Agency for Enterprise Information Technology, I am responsible for coordinating educational and information sharing initiatives with State organizations to improve Florida’s cyber security posture in the areas of information security policy, training, risk management, domestic security coordination, incident response, and survivability.I have worked in state government for more than six years working for the Department of Health, the Department of Management Services, and currently the Agency for Enterprise Information Technology.
