Collaborating with Latrobe Community Health Services, Latrobe City Council and Healthy Together Victoria to address the health in workplaces. Our project investigated reasons for and against healthy catering in workplaces and suggested an action plan which is currently being utilised in Latrobe. We interviewed various key stakeholders including; government organisations, retailers and community members. Our findings were presented back to Healthy Together Latrobe and later to the Gippsland region.

Undertook a Quality Improvement Project addressing the use of Nutrition Assistants and meal consumption across units at Prahran and Caulfield. - Looked at a control day when we observed all meal times and the amount of food consumed by patients. - Then an intervention day when we assisted with waking patients, opening packets, moving food to within reach, finding missing items and location of cutlery. - Results showed that with assistance across different wards intake increased and food wastage decreased. - Recommendations to improve and achieve nutritional adequacy were made to dietitians and food service staff of Alfred Health.
