      • Aug 2022 - Present

With Pace, I analyse soil and water samples sent to the company in a timely manner. This job required me to learn how to use equipment I had never worked with before. And learn a new team. I'm still on a learning curve, but I have progressed to where I can troubleshoot most problems by myself. With Pace, I analyse soil and water samples sent to the company in a timely manner. Taking up more responsibility, I continue to create a welcoming store with high-quality products. I have a team of six other young women working with me. I make sure everyone is on the same page, and designate everyone to tasks required to keep our store looking neat and trendy. When new applicants come in, I assist my manager with the hiring process.

I moved from the sister store at Von Maur into working with a wider age range in my clientele. Although the store is marketed to teenagers, women of all ages shop here. I updated my display work with constant rearranging of mannequin looks, and assisting social media in coming up with content.

Working with a fantastic team, I assisted patrons in creating the wardrobes of their dreams. My clients were mothers of bride and grooms looking for their dresses for that special day, women looking to activate their work-out looks, and plus-sized women who needed updated fashion to look on-trend. I kept a list of unique customers whom I could call when their favorite designer sent us something new. When other departments needed coverage, I easily flowed into different roles such as jewelry consultant, and fashion advisor to young adults. Show less

I worked with a strong team keeping eyes on over 150 cameras in our museum. This included keeping tabs on all visitors and keeping artefacts and office spaces secure. When incidents arose, I assessed the situation and took action, whether that was handling it personally or watching my teammates' backs.

From business meetings to interviews, I transcribed the audio provided to me. It was up to me to be accurate, give or take allowances for bad quality or disruptions. There was a time limit to how long I could take as the client needed the transcription ASAP. It helped me work on time management. I enjoyed this job because I could do it between classes, other work, and generally in my free time. It was also an interesting way to learn about subjects I would not have been interested in otherwise, nor had the access to. Show less
