Originally worked here on a freelance basis. Plasterpiece group, houses two sections under their umbrella. My main roles are firstly; selecting product from upcoming trends. Keeping up to date with merchandising so it best captures the stories or trends we want to portray through our buys. Secondly; I keep connections and rapport with the reps in which I buy from. Communications are had weekly to ensure our product selection is always ahead of our competitors. One of my favourite aspects is negotiations with manufacturers. Inviting the sales representatives to meet with us is crucial every month.I am currently working towards the store layout, sub sections and interior for the launch of a new brand. Concepts sometimes have to be carried out with budgets, other times I get allocated a brief with barely a budget at all, however I always achieve the end goal. I use product that has been bought , and merchandise it to encourage people to buy into the look and subsequently buy into a vision of what their interior could look like. With this being said, I make sure the layout entices customers so add on sales are hit every time. Plasterpiece directors work with me so that the visual merchandising is uniform, current and innovative at all times. The merchandising is very fulfilling. Product is used to make it the most shop-able, inspiring and customer friendly space possible. I ensure the visuals make sense for add on sales. I keep close tabs on the average transaction value, units per sale, I take part in buying trips to Nec Birmingham interior show, along with the other relevant exhibitions in it's catorgory. My research throughout the year allows me to work hand in hand with the directors, in order to translate to them what we need to target and collate in the stores to capture the clientele we desire. I work alongside the creative team to ensure the correct paths are being followed to capture trends, styles and new technologies that are on the market.

I was head hunted by the head of the Womenswear Buying team at Fenwick. Having heard about my work ethic and being served by me in what was said to be exemplary impeccable service. I was brought across to be the Eileen Fisher brand manager, I worked closely with my buyers to portray what shopping trends I have been noticing through the department with customer behaviour and collating figures. I did my own visual merchandising, stock counts, sales, figures and events. The area Visual merchandiser previously visited the store twice a month, now he visits every other month. Eileen Fisher decided they were confident I know my customer and merchandise accordingly, my work was acclaimed and trust in my understanding of visuals. Consequently, this meant I didn't need to use the directive. I carried out two stand alone events whilst I have been with the brand, they ran very successfully, and figures for the first were outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed any brand awareness for Eileen Fisher, introducing the clients to the brand and selling it to them. It was similar to working at wedding fairs which I am all to familiar with, or negotiating with reps at shows to sell a brand to them.I strive for sales and work towards target. I began my days by seeing how much I did last year and set myself targets to increase last years sales, I had a quarterly plan and break it down by months to ensure I am on focus to what needs to be taken etc. I am aware of my ATV, UPT, LY and TY etc. I communicated with Eileen Fisher New York and London several times on a weekly basis. I expanded Eileen Fisher three times since I took it over in October, I had the first ever Eileen Fisher window installed which was a great success and ran alongside the second event I did. I did everything in my power for the brand, and enjoyed watching it blossom in and amongst other brands within the department store.
