Working as part of a wider Executive Team, this role enabled me to learn a new industry whilst introducing some structure to the Marketing and Communications area of the business as the first Manager ever hired. This role was extremely reactive initially and involved tight deadlines as the boutique offering required that we turn on the side of a dime in reaction to industry changes and requests from the families in which we served. Whilst challenging, this role was incredibly rewarding and one that I thoroughly enjoyed. During my time I was able to create a style guide for content, write two successful award briefs and numerous successful tenders. I obtained regular media coverage in local news publications and online. We saw the business grow from four childcare centres to 10. I successfully advised on the diversifying of the brand from Atlantis into Tall Tree Early Learning as the brand extended into the Western suburbs from their traditional offering in the Northern Corridor. Change management and communication was also a large component of this communications role as the business went from a small provider to a large family-owned operator of boutique early learning facilities. Internal communications were expanded but streamlined in their content. Communication with families was increased and a new App utilised in order for the communications to be more detailed. The website was updated and the new brand Tall Tree Early Learning was launched to great success. I thoroughly enjoyed this role and only ceased due to moving down south with my family and starting numerous new freelance ventures, one of which being a conflict of interest. Show less

Working as part of a 15-person team, this role was responsible for social media content creation and cookbook strategy. My role involved working collaboratively with Recipe Developers on conducting market research into food trends and consumer requests for recipes. I would Coordinate all print and digital content relating to internal cookbook projects. I was responsible for collaborating with the Recipe Developer on the creative style and design of the cookbooks, creating the Style Guide for the subsequent photoshoots and the briefs for Graphic Design, ensuring that current design and food trends were aptly represented. I would assist Recipe Developers with the photo shoot process and the sourcing of props (many coming from my extensive collection of thrifted finds). During design proof stage, I was responsible for copyediting and the quality assurance of recipes. As we progressed to the TM5 and other machines with the digital display and Recipe Chips, it was my role to program the Recipe Chips using the International Recipe Development Platform created by parent company Vorwerk. I was ultimately made responsible for creating the Australian User manual for this program and the training of other team members as I was the most proficient at using it. I would work closely with the Marketing team on the creation of social content for use across our various channels and showcasing key recipes of upcoming publications for promotion. We worked on several projects at a time making this role extremely challenging in terms of deadlines and multitasking but I ultimately thrived in this environment and have become excellent at time management and project management as a result. Copywriting was part of my daily role, alongside digital recipe chip programming. This role definitely enabled me to hone both my left and right brain capabilities. Below are some of the projects I worked on. My name is in the first edition print runs for all of them. Show less
