I had had the pleasure of working with Amr, when I joined Accor in 2017 during his tenure with Raffles Dubai as Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications. Amr was eager to take on a new challenge and secure a fully-fledged Director role, and the opportunity to do so came with the takeover of the UAE’s first Swissôtel. Amr was instrumental in managing the re-branding, and implementing the communications and marketing standards throughout the hotel. He has also done excellent work on the CSR front, spearheading partnerships with Dubai Women’s Run, as well supporting the hotel in its partnership with start-up, Evolvin Women who develop skills and place women from previously disadvantaged communities in suitable roles within hospitality. Amr has always maintained the highest levels of professionalism, and has a positive attitude, collaborating with ease when dealing with a variety of key stakeholders including owner’s representative’s, regional office, and his immediate colleagues and peers. I highly recommend Amr, who has all the attributes of a leader, and I wish him immense success as he begins his new journey, state side.
