This role was one of my most challenging, unpredictable and character developing jobs to date. This role entailed more responsibility, delegation, organisation, and people skills than my previous endeavours which allowed me to grow my skillset and confidence, specifically within the event industry during the global pandemic. This provided brand new challenges and obstacles we had to overcome by creating hybrid/online events last minute in replacement of events up to 10,000 people. Working alongside my final year of university, I found that I would be the face of the venue for clients from as soon as they first enquired. Answering questions, building quotes, negotiating prices and meeting clients for viewings to ensure that they love the venue and wanted to embark on their weddings and conferences with us. Working as an independent sales advisor in the industry of direct sales and marketing, I strongly developed my skills in leadership, team management and work ethic. This was shown by the fact that I achieved two promotions in this short space of time and that the role was 100% commission based, meaning I had to put 110% effort into the work with an incredibly positive attitude in order to sustain my lifestyle. In addition, over 400 hours of interviewing experience allowed me to discover my love for training new starts and upholding a coaching role within the business.
