Responsible for managing and performing the daily QA responsibilities to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the established standards. This includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the work flow process and working with other in-house personnel and external personnel to produce and document a quality product. It is the role of the Concrete Quality Assurance Manager (CQAM) to perform all of the major QA activities required to construct the project at hand and to provide in a timely manner the written documentation described in each project's specific contract documents as follows: •Responsible for the implementation of the concrete placement and inspection procedures, and supervise the Concrete Q/A team throughout the project. Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Prepare project specific quality assurance reports and Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. •Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems ensuring that quality objectives of the project are met. •Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications. •Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project •Assemble and forward project closeout documents that include acceptance certification and tests record. •Conduct preconstruction meetings with new and existing subcontractors and the superintendent at least two days prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect quality. This includes the construction of a blast resistant above-grade structure. •Supervised the construction of a seven acre “green roof” golf course shooting range above the water treatment plant. •Supervised all architectural components of the project including specialty items such as blast resistant doors, high-pressure doors, bullet and blast resistant structures, etc. •Supervised the installation of storm, sanitary and water main installation located onsite and off-site. •I maintained all construction records, reviewed daily inspector’s reports, reviewed contractor’s payment request pencil copies, and certified the quantities based on the project records, Reviewed and maintained contractors request for information and submittals for clarity and completeness prior to submitting to the design team and requested additional information or clarification.

NYC-DEP/DDC 11/03Assigned to a $5,800,000 project which involved the installation and testing of a 48” water main and appurtenances across the Bronx River in the Bronx. This included the excavation and construction of two shafts, underlying bedrock to the required elevation by blasting method and tunneling through the underground rock below the river by pipe jacking technology using a Herrenknecht microtunneling machine, installation of 48” DIP water main and the placement of mass concrete fill inside the shafts to the proposed valve chambers and installation of the corrosion control system. • Monitored and controlled the construction site to ensure safety.
