  My role is that of a housing officer for a diverse patch of properties throughout Sandwell and Birmingham. My role is to provide the first point of contact for customers and to enable sustainable tenancies by promoting settled communities. My core responsibilities are rent maximisation, resolving neighbour nuisance, resident involvement as well as other aspects of daily and strategic housing management (allocations, transfers, estate management, dealing with ASB and customer involvement etc). I work in a close team and provide an excellent service to customers through clear communication. I am required to keep accurate and detailed records and work with a wide range of partner organisations which include town teams Sandwell, Police, Social Services, Benefits agencies and Citizens Advice. My duties are very diverse and I have the ability to deal professionally with a number of complex and difficult issues concurrently. I am also able to deal with a wide range of people and a large part of my job is to bring the correct people/ agencies on board at the right time. Show less
