Magic Bus India Foundation (www.magicbus.org), one of the reputed National Level institutions committed to support marginalized children and youths in the domain of health, education and livelihood. Some of the major responsibilities and achievements while working here are mentioned below. • Leading and mentoring a team of 23 staffs and approx 300 volunteers across Bihar and Jharkhand implementing 3 projects • As a lead of Magic bus managing the partnership with State Education department (through leading policy makers in the state. Magic Bus programs have been launched by the senior minister of the state. • Facilitated the Right to Education Campaign (RTE) in Patna through help of district administration and education department and till date mobilized and enrolled around 200 poor children from our intervention slums to the private schools. The campaign continues and will be able to enroll more number of children. • Convergence with other development agencies for rolling out the Bridge classes for school dropout girls. There is two such bridge classes are going on in Patna. • Organized the state level sports events for youths of slums which was inaugurated by Minister of Sports and Culture with participation of over 500 persons • Build Magic Bus visibility and recognition among stakeholders including Government

Madhya Pradesh Health Sector Reform Program (MPHSRP) under the aegis of FHI 360 (www.fhi360.org) providing technical support to Govt. of Health and Social Welfare department in Madhya Pradesh with a objective to reduce the infant mortality, maternal mortality, total fertility rate, making health outcomes and utilization of services more equitable, addressing malnutrition among children and reducing morbidity and mortality from common communicable diseases such as malaria, leprosy and tuberculosis. • Being master trainer for PIPs development, Facilitated in developing the capacity of state & district NRHM team for preparation of State PIP and District health Action Plan through training and handholding. The need based District Health Action Plan with training plan for one year had been developed. • Worked out with the district health department in identifying the left-out and dropout areas in low performing districts in terms of immunization and pregnancy care services and included additional fund for that in State PIPs. • Lead the team of five technical people to provide technical assistance on health and Nutrition. • Being the Master trainer, supported the department in rolling out the new MIS systems in the state.

• Pathfinder International (www.pathfind.org) is working in Bihar to improve the reproductive beahaviour of adolescents and young adult with a long term goal to improve the health and welfare of young mothers and their children by changing traditional customs of early childbearing. By delaying the first child until the woman is 21 years of age and spacing subsequent children by three to five years, communities could benefit from a significant drop in maternal and infant mortality rates, and from improvements in the survival and general health of mothers and children after later pregnancies • Worked in close coordination with State Health Society (SHS), Bihar to improve the Family planning coverage especially spacing methods and NSV. • Special budget had been allocated in the year 2012 in state PIPs for improving the coverage of IUCD in Gaya district on pilot basis. The Executive Director of SHS, Bihar made visit to Gaya to see the process adopted by Pathfinder in improvement of IUCD insertion coverage and accordingly suggested for scaling up in all over the state. • Lead the team of 15 core staff and 200 part time staff in the state with annual turnover of approx Rs. one Crore.
