  Responsible for new product development for the expansion of Nordion’s Co-60 product for cancer therapy. o New Product Development: Performed systematic clinical and market research to determine the appropriate use of Co-60 for brachytherapy in cancer patients. Built a business case to determine financial viability of Co-60 in brachytherapy. o Business Case Development: Completed market research to determine patient population and procedural estimations and built financial forecast ranges. Patient Population: Incidence rates of cancer patients for each indication were based on clinical algorithms developed from clinical research activities.  Modality Research: Analysis of various modes of radiation therapies for cancer patients to determine how new modalities might impact brachytherapy procedural rates, i.e., intra-operative versus external beam radiation therapy. o Product Development Strategy: Collaboration with 3rd party consultants to develop internal processes for prioritization and evaluation of project ideas with the goal to build a project evaluation criteria matrix. o Other Research Applications: Use of hot-chain technology for cold-chain vaccine storage systems and, radioisotopes in bio-pharmaceuticals.
