Kavita Ratna
As a deeply committed representative of Child Hope which we had the privilege to partner with, Amit is passionate about Rights of Children. During our collaboration, he was extremely supportive and practiced collaborative leadership every step of the way. He had deep insights about the region and strategic in planning. He always indicated possible developmental interventions which would be impactful both on the ground and also in the policy arena. He has been very proactive in building collaborations among organisations with synergic potential and has always walked an extra mile to ensure that all goals are met in an effective and purposeful manner. His decades of dedicated work experience in multiple country contexts are very valuable both for long standing organisations as well as new entrants.

I first met with Amit in 2014 when he came to Nepal to conduct partners due diligence. His supportive attitude, knowledge of the development sector particularly around child safeguarding impressed me a lot. I instantly connected with him because of the respect he give to people, good sense of humour and ability to see and explain the bigger picture. Over the last 9-10 years he has built massive programmes addressing issues around worst form of child labour, livelihoods, WASH and Modern Slavery with multiple partners in Asia, including with the Voice of Children in Nepal. Amit supported Voice of Children Nepal in reviewing and strengthening safeguarding policies and systems. He always aims at investing in organisational development, staff capacity and local leadership, which has not just motivated me but several other team members. His efforts and strategies have ensured that we are safely and successfully managing large scale complex projects benefiting vulnerable children and young people. Amit treats us as development partners and team members, and never behaves like a donor. Everyone enjoyed working with him at Voice of Children and I have observed other partner organisations have similar opinion about him.
