Collaborated with Dr. Nelson Sanchez at Weill Cornell Medicine/ Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to bring awareness about the disparities in healthcare among LGBTQ population. We created educational material and practice guidelines for clinicians in caring for the MSM population. We created workshops for medical students to educate on these practice guidelines.

Used large-scale protein purification to isolate associate proteins of BRCA1 and found PRMT5. To explore whether PRMT5 has a role in DNA damage response path, we used RNAi technology to knockdown PRMT5 expression. Result shows that PRMT5 deficiency triggered cell cycle perturbation and concluded that PRMT5 is essential for cell survival.
