•Provide support to people living with viral hepatitis who are contemplating treatments, undertaking treatments, or for whom treatments have failed. • Explore the role of HepatitisWA support services in prison settings and implement appropriate support services which may include one-to-one support and/or group support. • Work closely with organisations working with people exiting prison who are living with hepatitis C and needing support. • Build strategic partnerships with relevant organisations such as the Liver Clinics, GP’s, Outcare, Alcohol and Drug Services and Mental Health Services. • Develop and support referral pathways to appropriate medical facilities for people living with hepatitis B & C. • Contribute to and provide relevant workshops, forums and educational presentations to targeted audiences. • Provide up-to-date treatments information for viral hepatitis B & C. • Contribute to the training of, and provision of support to volunteer staff working in the NSP and on the telephone information line. • Record and compile statistics and complete performance indicator reports; • Participate in staff and program activities and meetings; • Maintain and expand professional skills with direction from the Community Services Manager.
