-Team member of the SABRE stands for Shape Adaptive Blades for Rotorcraft Efficiency project: SABRE aims to reduce helicopter fuel burn, CO2 and NOx emissions by a projected 5-10%, while also reducing noise emissions by morphing the rotor blades dynamically. My main tasks included:-2D Steady investigation of the aerodynamic performance of the morphed camber rotor airfoils-Investigation of the unsteady effects induced during a dynamic morhing of camber during an airfoil pitching motion -Developing a CFD/CSD coupling Toolchain that can allow the investigation of rigid, elastic and active rotor blades-Generate 3D grids in order to investigate the unsteady flow filed of elastic and active blades
