  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the SHP-PEP program. • Provide daily leadership and tasks assignment to the SHP-PEP support staff. • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and evaluating support staff. Coordinate work schedules, approve vacation time, and monitor and review payroll timesheets. • Manage student volunteers. • Lead SHP-PEP committee meetings to analyze the program, develop improvements and set new goals for each academic year as well as discuss future students’ events to enhance students’ retention, persistence and overall college experience. • Develop and maintain program budget and grants. • Develop and maintain a program review which includes accomplishments, goals and staff to meet budget requirements. • Plan, develop and organize volunteer opportunities for students with the surrounding communities and non-profit organizations. • Plan, develop, implement and execute all SHP-PEP events and activities. • Conduct retention workshops/class discussions (e.g. monthly students’ meetings, self-reflection discussions, time management, academic probation, different majors, career options and/or alternatives, among other topics). • Develop outreach strategies to effectively recruit students for the program. • Recruit, schedule and conduct interviews for first-generation, financially and environmentally disadvantaged incoming freshmen and transfer students. • Recruit, schedule and conduct interviews for Residential Advisors for our yearly summer week residential bridge program. • Train Residential Advisors on duties and responsibilities for the week. • Conduct marketing presentations about SHP-PEP at local high schools, community colleges, non-profit organizations, hospitals and clinics. • Participate in educational/college fairs at various community colleges to market the program. • Collaborate with campus community to recruit prospective students.
