I coordinated events/parties. I also would have to draft an expense report for any event/party I oversaw for the ministry. I managed communication between the staff and student leaders, as well as continued mentoring a group of student leaders within the group.

    • Cashier
      • May 2014 - Aug 2014

I was rehired at Walmart the summer of 2014. The managers remembered me from the summer before and were excited to have me back. I took back my position as a cashier for the entire summer. My duties included promoting current promotions going on at the store, scanning and bagging items, handling cash, and helping the customer out with whatever they needed. I also occasionally worked the self-checkout system at the store. When I worked the self-checkout area, it required paying attention to several customers at a time and a lot of patience. The self-checkout area did not always work properly, and many customers did not have patience with the machines. Show less

I was hired as cashier for Wal-Mart in May of 2013. It was a brand new Wal-Mart and I was one of the first hundred employees to help set it up for opening day. I worked as a cashier for a couple months after the Grand Opening in July 2013. I scanned items and drew up a receipt for customers. I used an electronic operating system as a cashier. A few of my other duties included red lining the aisles-which simply meant to straighten anything out of place and pick up trash and other items that did not belong in the check out area. Occasionally I would work the self-checkout system that Wal-Mart had. It required having to pay attention to multiple transactions at once and to be very attentive. Show less
