During my time on work placement for the BBC, I worked closely with the team at Inside Out North West. My role included researching different topics and finding potential contacts to feature, arranging and booking locations for shoots, contacting people of interest, independently operating a camera as well as assisting the camera opp and the transporting, setting up and packing away equipment. I also worked on BBC Breakfast, where my role involved working to a live brief and on a live broadcast, independently moving cameras live on air, dealing with guests and showing them in and out of the studio, ensuring the set is ready and in correct position and providing presenters and guests with refreshments and helping them with any other needs.
