S2TS energy modelling efforts suggest an opportunity for average savings of no less than 25%, with low cost/no-cost measures and immediate or less than two years payback periods. Main responsibilities: -Conduct engineering walk-through audits of buildings and data centre facilities to collect information on physical infrastructure. -Calculate power consumption data UEI (Energy Use Intensity) of buildings and Power Utilization Efficiency (PUE) of the data centre. -Develop a detailed energy model in eQuest/ 6-sigma to simulate CFD analysis to finetune parameters to replicate real-world operating scenario with gathered data. -Suggest energy conservation measures (ECMs) to reduce the power consumption of the site while maintaining the ASHRAE recommended operating conditions. http://www.s2ts.umd.edu/about/personnel/index.html Show less
