    • Live Events Coordination Supervisor
      • Oct 2022 - Present

In this role I have multiple responsibilities relating to the running of Just the Tonic's Saturday night shows in Nottingham. My responsibilities include scanning tickets, seating and monitoring the audience, looking after acts and making sure the show runs on time. This job can be slightly high-stress at times when trying to run to a schedule but I enjoy this challenge and find it rewarding to see the audience enjoying the show and the acts having good gigs. I currently work this job on Saturday evenings while at university. Show less

In this role at a popular tourist attraction, I work in catering. It has taught me to work in a really fast-paced environment while still providing good customer service and maintaining a clean working environment. I currently work here on and off during my university holidays. In this role at a popular tourist attraction, I work in catering. In this role, I assisted with the running of a bike shop. I helped with the mechanical work as well as customer service, stock checks, keeping the shop tidy, pricing, taking payments and deliveries, booking repairs and answering the phone. I sometimes ran the shop alone during staff holidays. In this role, I assisted with the running of a bike shop. During my time working for ant marketing, I first worked performing track and trace calls during the COVID pandemic before moving into taking bookings for COVID vaccinations. This work was mostly performed remotely from home with some visits to the office in Sheffield. During this work I encountered many difficult calls and situations, and because of this, I found it a really valuable experience. It also introduced me to the world of full-time work and how to manage my time around a busier working schedule. Show less

In May 2019 I attended a work experience rotation at the Royal Derby Hospital laboratories. We visited the different laboratories and met experts in each. We learned about the processing of samples, how they are studied and how this is used in diagnosis. A lasting, extraordinary memory from this experience is seeing a seminoma in a fallopian tube down a microscope in the histology laboratory.
